KESST has enlarged its activities to include support to educational institutions and in the field of livelihood for low-income groups while continuing its legacy programs. For FY 2024-25 the plans are to continue with similar efforts.
For the FY 2024-25 in our appeal for contributions we had hoped to collect Rs 40 Lakhs of which we were raised Rs 35.83 Lakhs. Our expenditure for FY 2024-25 was managed under Rs 33 Lakhs with control over expenses and reduction in requirement of assistance. The reduction in support for education was due to older children (with higher fees) moving out of our support umbrella. Our anticipated expenditure for FY 2025-26 is Rs 42.5 Lakhs as summarised below:
The Appeal for FY 2025-25 @ Rs 30/- per day:
For FY 2025-26 we hope to be able to raise Rs 40 lakhs and meet the balance expenditure from interest on donated corpus. While all contributions are welcome (and exempt under IT law) we would like for our young earning adults to consider contributing just @ Rs 30/- per day (around Rs 10,000/-) to support the needy and less fortunate children of Kodagu District.
