Young men, while in Cl XII or after completing Cl XII, can opt to join National Defence Academy (NDA) or Naval Academy (NA), by appearing in the NDA entrance exam conducted by Union Public Service Commission, New Delhi, twice a year, in April and September.

In the financial year 2019-20) KESST has incurred an expenditure of Rs 11.33 Lakhs to support 81 children, of which 49 are girls, in various stages of education and financial destitution.

KESST has received 80G exemption for donations. Contributions are exempted under Section 80G of Income Tax Act as per Approval No CIT(Exemption)/BANGALORE/80G/2018-19/A/10103 issued vide Order no ITBA/EXM/S/80G/2018-19/1013883857 (1) dt 29 Nov 2018. Donors are required to provide PAN Number, name as per PAN and full address to avail of 80G benefit.
In 2018-19, Rs 13.75 lakhs was distributed to 77 Flood affected children. They were assisted for part annual fees and transportation costs (due to relocation) . We estimate over Rs 25 lakhs would be required in 2019-20 to support upto 150 children. Donations are welcome.
